Mikes Knotty pine cabinet
When faced with the removal of the spa or reconstructing the exterior. Mike who does have experience in wood working and a shop filled with the tools necessary to do the job came up with a Knotty Pine exterior. The original frame was carefully removed an interior frame constructed with 3/4" exterior plywood . Knotty pine was then applied to the plywood frame with striking results.

There were tile accents on the original tub and once removed the underlying structural foam acted as a bed for the thin set mortar and rather than go mosaic tile he cut single large pieces to fit into the corners .
As you can see a fine piece of work the spa looks better his wife is happy the spa is tighter and more energy efficient . Way to go Mikey!
