| Blowers and Bacteria Problems |
| As the Spa season heats up I'm reminded about a nasty problem associated with the forced air unit also known as the blower. The problem is on some older spas the blower channel is flooded with water when the unit is not running and can go stagnate. Since there is no circulation of water thru the blower channel only air. Bacteria can build up to unsafe levels unless the blower is turned on at least once a week to expel the old standing water. Do not confuse the forced air unit with the jets' its only those older units that have small holes drilled into the seats and flooring have the potential of developing high levels of Myca bacterium and also those spa where the blower isn't working.
